Brandon Creek
Brandon Creek is the alleged location from which St Brendan set
sail. St Brendon is best known from the Navigation Sancti
Brendani - the voyages of St Brendan. Tim Severin was
so convinced by the factual aspects of the Voyages that he built his
own curragh (the type of boat which was in use in the sixth century,
when St Brendan was alive) and sailed to America. (See his book,
The Brendan Voyage.

This is the view from the creek out to sea:
St Brendon allegedly started his voyage by praying on top of Mount
Brandon. It is a good hike to the top.
