Animals around the world

These are the challenges included in the animals around the world section of our Wise Owl booklet.
Often we work on a challenge in a small group, but sometimes the whole Pack is involved.


Adventure

A1) Take part in an animal based theme evening.
A2) Make a model of an animal.
A3) Make a puppet of an animal.
A4) Make a mask of an animal.
A5) Play a new game about an animal or group of animals.
A6) Perform a play about an animal(s).
A7) Listen to a series of animal calls and guess which animal made which sound.
A8) Find out about an animal charity.
A9) Listen to a story from another country about animals. Either act out the story or play a game or make something related to it.
A10) Do another animal related challenge.


Adventure On

AO1) Help to organise an animal based theme evening.
AO2) Find out at least five facts about a nocturnal animal. Undertake an activity related to them.
AO3) Find out at least five facts about an animal that lives in the sea. Undertake an activity related to them.
AO4) Find out at least five facts about an animal that lives in another country. Undertake an activity related to them.
AO5) Find out at least five facts about an amphibian or reptile. Undertake an activity related to them.
AO6) Find out at least five facts about one of your favourite animals. Undertake an activity related to them.
AO7) Find out what tracks different animals make and see if you can spot any. If possible make a plaster cast of a track.
AO8) Help to raise money for an animal charity.
AO9) Find out about animals that are important to people from another culture.
AO10) Do another animal related challenge.
