5th Rainham Brownies
Our Pack

Who is in our Pack?
The Gnomes

A group of Brownies is called a Pack. There are usually 24 Brownies in our Pack. Our leader is called Brown Owl. We have two other Guiders - Mercedes and Natalie. There is also Panther, a Guider who moved away but sometimes comes back to help us and runs our website. We have four sixes: The Imps, The Gnomes, The Elves and The Pixies.

Pack Mascots

We have six Pack mascots. If we are helpful at Brownies we
may get to look after one of them between meetings.

Pack History

5th Rainham Brownies was started in the Summer of 1968.
Our Brown Owl took over in 1972 and has been with us ever since.

For the first 35 years of its life, 5th Rainham Brownies met at Meredale Infants School.
In the summer of 2003 we held our last ever meeting there.

Over the years 5th Rainham Brownies have celebrated many Guiding landmarks.

This photograph was taken at the district
Thinking Day Celebration of 1985.

We were celebrating 75 years of Guiding.

We also had parties to celebrate 75 years of Guiding.
