Dear Michaela,
It's difficult to write
A poem, lyric or such like
That ever could quite match up to
Those previously done by you
However, I am going to try
Bear with me, and I'll tell you why
You see it has become traditional
To speak of things nuclear fissional
And when last you wrote to me
You summed our problems up to three
But lo, a fourth I did discover
I fear that we must bomb each other
I'm sure that you will sit and wonder
Why I wish to blow your brains asunder
To think of you reduced to dust
Is not a pleasant thing, it's just
I think it would be fair to say
We lead each other's men astray
For though in fact we are one person,
Our bodies still have some dispersion
And when drunk it's natural we
Should be attracted similarly
To men who claim they do not know
How much their actions hurt, and so
To help them end all their confusion
I propose nuclear fusion
The latter, is more powerful
Than that which killed the Swedes, and will
Most probably have some effect
That hasn't quite been fathomed yet
So as our atoms fly through space
They may concentrate in the same place
And thanks to our good friend the bomb
Finally the two are one
Our men no longer have to worry
To which of us they should say sorry
And we won't have to keep score either
Lets give them both or give them neither
So what d'ya think, should we give it a try?
I await your decision. Until then, goodbye.
