Music should be one of the more important parts of my life: I played piano from an early age, have learned flute and percussion, sang in a large number of choirs, played in orchestras, written and recorded as part of two different bands, one at school and the other at university, been in two (mostly) cover bands (Liquid, while at school, and TeeZees, a group of people at tangozebra). I've spent a huge amount of money on music equipment, and one of the main appeals of working at tangozebra was always the number of serious musicians who also worked there.
Nowadays, of course, no one believes a word of it.
Anyway, let's make a boring list of all the instruments I've got. There's a TR-Rack (Korg's rack-mount version of their Trinity synth workstation), a Roland JP8080 virtual analogue synth, plus a proper Juno 6 analog synth, a DR-660, and a Roland RD-170 digital piano, plus bits of glue involving a Mackie CR1604-VLZ mixer, a pair of Event 20-20 speakers, lots of wires to tie myself up in, and at least in theory a computer that I can use as a DAW. There's also a bass guitar, which I keep on meaning to learn how to play, and a flute that I keep on meaning to remember how to play, and no doubt some other bits that I've forgotten about. Most recently (which was still several years ago) I bought myself a rather nice Yamaha Pacifica electric guitar (in a fetching shade of blue), and then ran out of time to learn how to play it. You may notice a pattern here.
